The best ways to prevent HIV transmission is to get tested and be aware of your status. Practice sexual safety and safe social behaviors. Be sure to use condoms and engage in healthy sexual conversation with intimate partners. It might seem uncomfortable or not sexy to bring up but being informed will in the long run either bring you closer together or at least keep you safe. Being informed and aware are the best ways to prevent HIV transmission, we are not invincible and even the smallest efforts can make the biggest difference.
